Re:Foreign medical for DGCA CPL conversion

.
Hello all,

Any clue what a valid foreign medical means with the DGCA?

The application states the need for a valid foreign medical?
But what class of medicals?- I guess class I.

But is class II also not a valid medical?

What would happen if one was to submit an application with a class II medicals?
@Cactus

I am quoting from what i understand from the conversation between me and a DGCA official,

The DGCA requires a Valid Indian Class 1 medical when u submit the application for the CPL, at the same time the DGCA also requires a Valid Class 1 foreign medical even though the foreign country may issue the CPL with Class 2 or 3. The reason for this being that the DGCA always requires the requirements fulfilled in its equivalence. I learnt this the hard way because the validity of my Foreign Class 1 medical was 13 months and the DGCA converted the medical validity into its equivalence to 12 months and I had to basically do the medical again.

So thats what it is in a whole and i am sure ur doubt is sorted out. PM me if u need any help.
