I think you are correct and Rodney James was quoted a while back in the local press as saying something along the lines of Airbus or new generation aircraft purchases being irresponsible to the shareholders.
The MD's are still successfully plying the airways for the smaller airlines (and some majors) on every continent. I suspect we'll see them in 1time livery for some time to come.
