Hello OP, Re your comment on the ultimate fate of aeronautical apparatus parked on tthe Elmdon Apron.
I believe from long past experence re an old Vickers Valetta - The said apparatus ultimately corrodes with a vengence. This might also apply to the main apron too.[Apparatus - not the apron].
