vikdream,

Recent BA DEP applicants had to answer 4 essay type questions using a max of 250 words. They were along the lines of: give an example of (when).... you made an important decision; ...have been involved in major change at work; ..... the competitive threat facing BA and how you can help etc.

Again with the DEP application you had to answer many yes/no questions on hours, experience etc prior to getting through to the main application. BA may do the same again but the questions may be along the lines of: do you have 3 'A' levels grade xyz or better; do you have a degree grade 2:1 or better. If you answer no you will be unable to progress.

The academic standard of ATPL exams is not overwhelming. If you can get A grade 'A' levels in English or History then you have demonstated the ability to work hard, logically and independantly and should have no issues with the academics. The subjects studied at 'A' level or degree level is not really very important to be a pilot. It has always been thus for BA or the RAF (RAF present requirements for pilots are 2 'A' levels grade A-C)

All the best
