Had the very great pleasure of a business seat from DXB-MAN on the EK380 recently. I had traveled once before in economy but this was an incredible way to fly. Huge seats and so much legroom that I could lie flat and still not touch the bottom of the foot area (and I'm 6 foot)! Service and food was superb and the bar at the back is a great touch. Couple of films on the huge screen and whilst it wasn't HD the picture and sound (noise cancelling headsets too) were excellent, and the seven hours passed in a flash.
Yes it is a bit ugly but do you really care when you are indulging yourself on the top deck with top food and finest French wines. The cabin is also very quiet. Maybe that was partially due to the abscence of screaming kids though
For sure it doesn't come cheap but there really is no other way to fly.
