I for one would not like to work for such an organisation. I have been 45 years as a LAME and have worked predominantly overseas, and with some dodgy employers, also some of the best.
The current Qantas employment ideas seem to be lifted from Dickensonian times.
I expect the next thing is that all QF group employees will have to buy their own computer terminals, and pay for access, to be able to carry out their job.
I also expect they will have monthly deductions to pay for the services, such as toilets etc supplied by the employer. Naturally the contract they will sign will be in the Cayman Islands or such off shore location away from Australian employment laws.
Having been a regular QF traveller for many years both domestic and international I now try and avoid them like the plague, and many people I speak to have the same idea. They are not the ordinary leisure traveller either.
