I wonder how many RAF de-selectees will be going for this, I would imagine they would have an upper hand over most.
I would imagine a fair few will be going for it but one thing you need to remember about them is that a some of them will have had little or no interest in commercial aviation and are only going to apply because that's seemingly the only path left for them. I'm sure lots of ex-armed forces pilots would love to fly commercially but maybe some won't have quite the same passion for the job as they did have for their military careers. Just a thought, although they are not being recruited by the same means as little or no experience pilots anyway.
