Hi all this is my first post here! I've done some searching and most links came here so I thought I'd join up
I've recently finished my Degree (Business and Marketing) but have always wanted to get into the aviation industry, for some reason or another I didn't do exactly what I wanted/needed (Mainly because I was confused
) But now I've decided to go for it so here is my question.
My aim is to get into dispatch but I'm not really sure how to get there. From what I've read so far there are no formal qualifications needed here in the UK and most airlines use their own processes therefore I'm guessing that my first step would be to get a job with an airline? What kind of jobs should I be looking for?
Another thing I was looking to do is the Avtech 2000 foundation course which I'm not sure if it's worth doing or will the airline provide everything I need?
