Just be a little careful in selecting your insurer. If, for instance, you have a UK licence but are flying on a foreign licence and insured with a UK company then the insurer will only pay if you lose your UK licence permanently and that would be a CAA decision based on medical reports from their approved doctors and specialists.
A company with a name like 'Global' may be a better option but be sure to make certain you know which licence is insured and which authority the insurer will be guided by.
