I agree with the above sentiment about the £200. Yes it is a ball ache but it will deter many people applying on a whim. It isn't a small amount for me to pay being a student with no help from my parents, but I would sooner spend it on the chance of being selected, along with the experience for future such schemes, than on pretty much any other expense it would otherwise go on. They are going to be looking for the most committed, and so you either have to swallow the cost or forget about it.
