IGRUA is definitely not the best school in the world. But it's one of the better schools.
It's far better than the average flying schools in USA or Canada and way better than any flying school in the Philippines.
In India IGRUA and NFTI are the only two schools where you have decent facilities and good quality training. Which one is better will be a tough question. One has been around for decades providing good and consistent training and the other though it was started recently has got a lot of good reviews. It needs to be seen if NFTI can maintain its standard in the future as well.
About IGRUAs campus recruitment by AI. Not too long ago people were envying the fresh CPL holders from IGRUA who got into AI. Its tough times for AI and its employees and I hope the issues are resolved soon. The Govt seems to have realized the gravity of the situation and seem to be doing something about it. Only time will tell whats in store for AI and its employees in the future.
I heard a bit about CHIMES aviation some time ago. Any one know if its still around?
