Beside, there isn't one but three drive systems working the THS actuator : one electrical, one hydraulical, and one mechanical... all of them have anti-jamming devices avoiding that THS actuator could get free in case of whatever imaginatory
undetected failure you might be thinking about. It is quite a big screw planted into the tail and quite a big piece of steel surmounting it.
