With only 10 weeks left in BE's current LDY operation I'd expect that announcement to be imminent to boost bookings etc. Maybe the hold up is them finalising times/slots/aircraft for EDI.
Perhaps BE are waiting for RE's departure on Thursday, with the whole big fuss about losing the route, they might piggy back on that saying they're coming to the rescue in the same way they did when FR pulled out of BHD.
