Anna_list: excellent stuff as always. STN is growing brilliantly, and for a LF of 92% in June, then surely somebody is looking at LDY and thinking that perhaps there is further demand there for more LON routes.

Amelia/Northern. If one looks at Exeter (for relative comparison to LDY....similar sized city, major competition up the road etc), and analyse their BE routes, then it becomes apparent that the airline can exist with quite low LFs. For instance, EXT to GLA LFs are consistently in the 40s%. When I travel through EXT (on the normally one third to half full BHD-EXT route), there is no sign that this route, or any others are threatened. Furthermore, NOC-EDI carried a mighty 1086 pax in June, and BE are pretty happy with that operation.

A bit less negativity from some quarters would be useful. Look at where the airport is now, and compare it to 18 months ago for a bit of perspective.
