Agreed the package may not be wonderful but exactly what other Jet direct entry command job in NZ are there. Can't think of any, Air NZ isn't about to start up a LCC again.
So if you don't want to work contract for an asian carrier on a NZ base 18 on/ 12 off, and want to wake up most mornings, read The Herald and walk the dog, go to work with a crew you can relate to, then it's a no brainer.
Would put a beer on this being the only direct entry narrowbody or widebody jet job on a permanent contract, working in NZ, being home most nights, that you will see in NZ for the next 30 years.
Bitch all you want about how you don't love NZ that much but at the end of the day if there wasn't a requirement to already be able to live and work in NZ there would be a deluge of guys from the UK/Sandpit/Asia.
