By the autumn of 1944 the development of P. VII and sub-assemblies were completed, the first prototype was ready for flight. But the German Reich Aviation Ministry considered that the projected speed of the aircraft would not meet their requirements also the cost in materials and construction was too expensive. As it was considered that insufficient time and money was available to introduce modifications Focke-Wulf had no other choice but to cancel the project.
