Flight Allowances
NZ$120.00 per credited block hour in excess of 65 credit block hours in a roster period
Scheduled flight duty (block hours) used
Note 1: 3.6 credit hours applied for each day on which ground duties are performed during the roster
period.
Note 2: 5.5 credit hours applied for each duty in a roster period where the pilot attends simulator duty or
recurrent Emergency procedures or Security training.
Bonuses
Sign-On Bonus
A320 Type Rated Captain – NZ$30,000
Non A320 Type Rated Captain – NZ$10,000 plus Jetstar to cover A320 Type Rating (3 year bond)
Note: The sign on bonus maybe used to cover relocation expenses. On production of tax receipts for
expenses incurred, the Pilot shall receive the total costs tax free as a portion of the sign on bonus.
Retention Bonus
NZ$20,000 per annum
Taxes
New Zealand PAYE deducted at source for all payments (see note in bonuses)
Contract Arrangements
Crew Members will be engaged as direct employees of Jetstar Airways Ltd (New Zealand).
Annual Leave
5 weeks per annum.
Sick Leave
The Pilot is entitled to paid sick leave of five (5) days per 12 months following the first six months of
continuous employment with the Company in accordance with the Holidays Act 2003 and relevant
Company Policy. This leave may be accumulated up to a maximum of 20 days current entitlement. Also,
a pilot sick leave pool can be accessed which provides up to 90 days upon application
Staff Travel
Yes. Entitlement after 6 months employment.
Loss of license Insurance
Reimbursement for purchase of Loss of License Insurance to a maximum of 1% of pilot’s annual base
salary (excluding allowances).
Accident Insurance
The provisions of the Injury, Prevention, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2001 or any amending or
substituting Acts shall apply.
In-Flight Crew Meals Provided
Yes.
Days Off
10 days off per roster period (or equivalent per annum)
Relocation Tickets
Assistance maybe provided on a case by case basis for Pilots to utilise Jetstar network to travel to base
residence.
Layover Allowances
NZ$86 per overnight away from nominated base whilst overnighting in Australian bases, NZ$70 whilst
overnighting in New Zealand bases other than nominated base residence.
Work Day Off Payments
NZ$1,000/day.
Licence Renewal/Medical/Proficiency Checks
Licence arranged and paid for by pilot
Medical arranged and paid for by pilot
Proficiency checks arranged and paid for by Jetstar
F/O Package
