Hi Alicky,

My advice would be to go for it.
I've just been selected in to CTC wings as a cadet - aged 32!

I have some empathy - feeling a bit different from the norm - as a very short man (right on the limit of being able to satisfy myself that I can do this for a living, although the instructors have assured me that I fit the big jets ok).

From reading just a few of the many posts on pprune it seems that we all have a little self doubt - I think that's perfectly normal when you're about to step out of your comfort zone and security.

Spending a lot of money and commiting to a big change will get you to question and doubt yourself, it's human.

Go with what your heart tells you (and the advise from other pilots here who all seem to be supportive).

Get your medical, if that's ok put one foot in front of the other and prepare for selection.

Good luck.
