That's more or less how the story goes. But as far as I know it was'nt the only reason the CAA stepped in and asked the three musketeers to step down as nominated postholders. The safety manager also got fired after loosing all the safety reports by crew just prior to the audit - stolen out of his vehicle apparently. The same DFO is apparently now the safety manager as well. They did'nt get a clean bill of health during the past few CAA audits and they had to have 90 day follow up audits. Anyway, that the storey I got.
