We are so short-staffed I can almost not believe they put you on hold in the first place! Unless your application was for a specific outstation ofcourse since some stations are 'fully staffed' (according to EK). I also wonder why (not that it's the strangest thing to happen at EK) they interviewed you in the first place if theres no vacancy?
Dubai has a massive shortage of engineers but things could only improve if we get more guys in.
Don't be fooled though, working for EK and staying in DXB is not a walk in the park.
