lol BA038!! If I cant find my own way into work then I really think that piloting across the globe may be a bridge too far! Mad Jock that makes a lot of sense what your saying never looked at it in that way but your right with the medical. I have got my first flying lesson booked this Thursday (nothing spectacular just a 30min introduction flight at Cranfield but still is better than nothing really cannot wait

My next move is definitely the medical, there is one thing I know of that may hinder me progressing much past that but I wont go into any detail here will just wait and see fingers crossed, as far as im aware its done at Gatwick, which is now too far for me to get as I no longer drive...! Fortunately can get on the train easy enough. I really like the idea of doing it a lot more progressively as you've suggested to soften the financial blow of it all, is tempting to drop everything and go for one of FTO's and get it all done but as im sure we all know is very expensive. Really appreciate the advice and im sure you'll be hearing a lot more from me. PS I had an application to CTC Wings since November 2010 and coincidently got a reply today saying congratulations you have passed the first phase of the application and Ive been asked to attend a selection day! In November I was a lot less knowledgeable in terms of possible "routes" to take, so would I be wise in saying I should probably turn that offer down (also have heard CTC are extremely expensive!) Thanks again
