Whereas the report says:
From 2 h 10 min 05, the autopilot then auto-thrust disengaged and the PF said "I have the controls".
i.e. straight away. The way you've phrased the quoted statement it comes across that you're interpreting "lost the speeds/alternate law" as recognition of AP disconnect, whereas it seems more likely that it's, again, immediate recognition of the latching of ALT2 at the end of the much-discussed monitoring period.
