Ground school certificate is required for all aircraft, irrespective of whether it's AUW is above or below 5,700 kgs. DGCA has not bothered to update this in the CAR.
my friend was asked to submit a ground training certificate for Pilatus PC-12/45 (AUW 4,500 kg)
