Elevator deflection conventions
I don't know what the standard convention is, but in Fig. 6 of
this NASA report a + elevator movement results in an increased pitch down moment, i.e. the opposite of your assumption.

PP, it needs only quite a few weaks for me, since I tried to understand the zoom climb of the AB 340, to found my question for the elevator deflection convention...... every time wondering why a pull generates lower G, and a push ends in a climb..... every thing is opposite!
