For what it's worth,
AIPA puts together a collective package for the members to be sold to the most attractive bidder ( note I don't say highest ).... No one has to resign until the entire deal is set up.
Rather than sitting in the slaughter yards waiting to be killed we go back to the market . AJ & GD etc have seriously stalled the careers of hundreds of loyal Qantas pilots , we really should be asking if we could work for someone else but still based in Australia or some kind of deal which would have international bases which include the opportunity of an Oz base.
Tossing up the idea , last time I checked open discussion built strong ones!
Management seem to think this is a game they play but as you get older you realize time is precious. QFs toying with Jetstar has cost many pilots 10 years or more off their careers. We have been treading water on 75% divisors for too long. Time to think how to get it back on track if the PIA can't work.
