Merged: Are QANTAS pilots asking the wrong question?
Sick of being played around with for the last 10+ years, should we (AIPA) indeed be rather trying to stimulate demand. Alan Joyce and co have been doing their level best to get us off-side so perhaps it's time to take the hint.
As a group, now suitably disengaged, we could approach Singapore or a Middle East operator and offer our services at a negotiated rate.
Could effectively shut down QANTAS overnight and stimulate demand for the new entrant, greenfields Chinese operation may even be the go.
Shame about QANTAS but it seems that's the way it's heading according to Joyce and live export is a bit contentious ATM anywy.
Proper deal I'm sure we could get the right engineers and associated staff to come along!
