I don't want to be too negative about your observation on the root chord, but it certainly isn't swept back
Then it's a relatively very large chord wing, hence my reference to flying wing.
The twin fins are attached to the wing, with a narrow chord tailplane bridging them. Without a plan view it could almost be described as tandem wing.
