"Because it's always safety first"
Does anyone else think this is just a
PR spin
Bl00dy oath!!
For the life of me I cannot understand these decisions to ground flts on various grounds due to "safety concerns" (and the money that they waste in doing so) when they then go and make, what I believe, are rediculous decisions on maintenance and flt crew outsourcing that costs alot less and has such a huge impact to safety (as we have seen to date).
I believe that grounding the A380 and AKL ops was and is a necessity, don't get me wrong, but in contrast to other safety related decisions makes no sense for a company always boasting a "commitment to safety".
I believe it's a
PR spin. They have been clobbered in the press lately due to the number of incidents and I think they are trying to save face.
