I've just re-read some of Sharkey's World (minutes of my life I will never get back
), in particular a letter from Adm Woodward to Oliver Letwin in Apr 11. What a lot of utter tosh: DJRP "at least as good as RAPTOR", GR4 can only carry "perhaps 50 rounds" in high temperatures", and he claims Stormshadow was used against moving targets in Libya "(moving tanks/armour)". Just 3 random examples of total fabrication and disinformation. But I think I can see Sharkey's plan - he makes so many factual errors or misleading statements that no-one can be bothered to counter each and every one in the way he argues. Quite clever.
I still cannot fathom why men of such (former) respect are prepared to demean themselves by flying their flags on such a ship of drivel.
