About bloody time too.
they have been doing this in US for 10 years since 9/11.
You show a govt issued pic ID,ie DL, passport, mil ID, airline ID,(or herein aust ASIC), pilot licence with pic on another id too if pic not on licence, state govt ID card if you have none of the others with your boarding pass or eticket before u head upstairs to security screening or at screening while enetering the screening area. It doesnt hold up anything at all.
At least then the person flying matches whose name i s on the ticket.
No BS excuses from the PC crowd. should have been done here since 9/11 too. Oh and to cut wait times at security the only people allowed thru securtiy into the secure dep gate areas are people flying NOT friends and relatives.
This needs to be done here in Aust too.
Works in USA who have vastly huge pax numbers compared to Aust.
