@Johnny you just hit the nail right on
not saying you did the figures accurately but its pretty much clear that this is just another decent way to loot money from the desperates.

They made it so attractive that its easy to fall into the traps and mind you all the job is not guaranteed, there is always the possibility of failing in the sim tests or the interview, your 45lac will be gone. Never come to a conclusion that in India the cadets have priority over the others, just look at the spice cadets many are waiting for nearly 3 years yet there are many outsiders gets the right seat over them and still spice is looking to make more money...I am sure all of you know what they are doing now.

My advice is that if you are a graduate from a middle class family then dont sign up for this "cadet" programme, find a decent job and move on with your life. Dont get fooled by the loan thing, if you take loan then you will end up with nearly 50lac debt. Remember there are over 5000 jobless pilots and Indigo and others will well take their chances to make money from these guys too.

@vdafff

Mostly the low cost airlines are the ones who degrading this industry
They are not degrading the Industry but rather the proffesion. They always want to make money in other ways to give low fare to fight with the legacy carriers, its mostly them who do such pay to fly, pay for exam, give low salaries and of course loot money by brining up cadet programmes like this which is not at all a cadet programme.
For many year I always seen cadets as the people who were sponsored by the airline and working under different contracts but today they changed the whole concept of this, yes mostly the low coast airlines but there are still who doing real cadet programmes like Etihad, Cathay for International students and many others for local citizens. I met few cadets from other major airlines who are now flying as FOs and some captains, they never shed out 1 rupees to get where they are and now they are very loyal to their respective airline, there are many fortunate people like this but I am afraid there wont be anymore in this country.

they are such a virus..
This was unnecessary, even though I am not a big fan of LCCs, show some respect please.

@Google

Expensive!?!? a CPL + Type will cost almost the same! isnt it?
No they arent, you can do a CPL plus type well below 40 or even below 35lac
