When some one goes for CADET program...the Sponsor ( Indigo ) would get discount by providing Trainer ( CAE ) bulk of candidates which brings total cost per pilot for sponsor down by minimum 10% taking fluctuations of Fuel and Instructor salaries.
Note : Sponsor always pays minimum of 50% of total accumulated cost of training but here Sponsor pays nothing.
Now for 45 lakhs - if 4 installments made.
1. 12 lakhs
2. 12 lakhs
3. 10 lakhs
4. 9 lakhs
Now considering the 17 month program for CPL + TR.
You give each installments after a gap pf 3 months - Total money paid in 12 months .
So 45 lakhs an year at 12 % will give - 5 lakhs 40 thousand.
Now being paid 15000 thousand for 14 months -2 lakhs 10 thousand.
Now being paid 25000 thousand for 3 months -75 thousand
Total Stipend ( Not salary ) paid by Indigo -2 lakhs 85 thousand.
Total money earned by Indigo on 45 lakhs per Cadet@12 %/year -5 laks 40thousand.
Now total money discounted on training by Indigo taking account of 10 % discount ( Which is way less than Actual Discount Airlines gets from Bulk Orders- Yes CADETS are Commodities for Indigo ) = 4.5 lakhs
Indigo will be earning 4.5 lakhs per student on Discounts ....now TOP it up with 12 % earned on 45 lakhs( Minus Stipend paid ) gives you total accumulated profit of - 7 lakhs 5 thousand.
So Indigo will be Earning that amount from each candidate....if some degrading of percentage wise is done on per year interest or discount ( I doubt on Discount ).....then still they will be making an BOUNTY of more than 5 lakhs - 10990 $ @ 45.50 Forex Rate.
Now do your maths who will gain from it.
Now consider this - CAE is doing 320 TR assessment for INDIGO and in its letter of assessment ,CAE clearly states that this program does not warrant JOB .....it is an mere Intent of Indigo to hire you if you full fill laid down norms ( SIM check and interview rides ).
Will this Cadet program come without any Riders considering how Indigo happens to place small un noticable statements that can haunt candidate later on?
The answer is NO.......not a single fellow will consider himself getting HAUNTED because with his " WAY ABOVE ALL " attitude he can not think anything going wrong ......when he got a News Paper clipping saying " Indigo Cadet Program- Pay 45 lakhs and get a Job ......".........that is same like few years ago when " Do CPL in 10 months earn 24 lakhs per year "ADVERTS published on almost all National Newspapers which has created GLUT of Pilots right now....
Think Twice before Blinking thrice after being CONNED by Airlines.
Do not get FOOLED by lure of JOB.....Same thing happen in 2006 when SPICEJET took 150 people as CADETS and now see the plight of those Cadet Pilots.....
CPL cost - 25 Lakhs with lodging ( Max )
TR on 320 - 14 Lakhs ( Max )
Total Cost - 39 Lakhs
Man whoso ever said This CADET thing is good and value for money needs to HIDE because they cant do basic MATHEMATICS.
