A lot of people have some level of apprehension about flying, me included (which is one of the reasons I stuck my uninvited nose into this forum in the first place). You sure it isn't 'anxiety' rather than 'fear', and then fear of being frightened than of anything worse ? I always try for a window seat and admire the view, after all you paid for it and 100 years ago what an unimaginable priviledge it would have seemed !
Have a look through these forums, this is a massive industry involving people for whom being in the air is being in the office, day in, day out over working lifetimes. It is not space exploration or a job only for the fearless !
