Thats exactly what I was getting at, I can understand that a trans tasman flight might not be viable due to the massive rerouting required. What I can't understand is why Jetstar wouldn't just fly all the domestic services below FL200.
The only reason that I can see is that this has come from Qantas who has instructed Jetstar to not fly due to the risk.
