The Calender-Van Dusen equation for a 500ohm platinum sensing element is used.
- RT/RO = TAT + α[TAT - δ(TAT/100-1)(TAT/100) - β(TAT/100 –1)(TAT/100) 3]
where
- TAT = temperature in °C
- RT = resistance at temperature "T"
- RO = resistance at 0 °C (500 ohms)
- α = .003832
- δ = 1.81
- β = 0.0 for T > 0.0° C and 0.1 for T<0.0 °C
