Yes, but the a/c is in ALAW (maybe?). PNF says (eleven seconds after) a/p drop, "alternate Law". To stop the climb would take a second ND input, No?
Could PF be fighting a (P/AB 'IO') battle? PITCH is not Direct, only ROLL.

No let's call it PilotAirbus Oscillation Induced Oscillation. Remember, the PF input "several" NU commands. Were these intended to counteract the Bus' argumentative ND? Each of her ND's of too little duration to cause the THS to relent in its travels to 13 degrees?
