is an actual IFR-ride failure if more than nnn feet are lost in the recovery!! .....

FAA SAFO 10012 July 6, 2010, says:
Purpose: To clarify the meaning of the approaches to stall evaluation criteria as it relates to "minimal loss of altitude" in the Airline Transport Pilot PTS. ......

does not mandate a predetermined value for altitude loss. ......
