Wasn't it Mobile Me the software that discovered the stolen Macbook in California recently that was highlighted in the press?
I believe that the software was called 'Hidden' and this company purports to be able to track and locate wherever the stolen device is, together with photos of the user and what they have viewed whilst using the stolen device. Getting the boys in blue to nab the miscreant that stole the device is probably another matter.
