Parking LHR
I have noticed that if you get an inbound slot at about the time you want it is rare to get an outbound positioning slot that is even close to the one want you want, entailing lengthy parking or even an overnight.
One is parked on a cargo stand that, I believe, is leased by the handling agent.and as parking charges are exhorbitant the handling agent hapens to do very nicely if there are no departure slots avialable. Any one else come up with this strange phenomenon? It is worth checking for your self on the LHR slots website for available sots.
