You do not need A DEGREE to be a licenced engineer, just the modules and the relevent experience.. That word experience, takes years and even with the minimum post a 147 course will not make you a very good one, far too much practical knowledge to gain for that. Have you worked on live aircraft yet? Being spoon fed information at college is very different from the working knowledge and experience required on a 25-30 year old 73 Classic...

Most maintenance managers have done the tools, LT and C Cert positions. They need that experience to do the manager bit!
