From my angle, good post. It is interesting what other expats think of the Gulf countries. I turned down an interview from Qatar recently, after so many overnights in Riyadh and Jeddah, I can now longer deal with the sandbox like I used to. It can't be worse than Riyadh, the most dismal rich city in the world. Far better jobs are opening up in the Far East.
