Alright, another long rant.
My sympathy for the poor guy who wrote it, and for all the many people who are even worse off.
BUT: This doesn't tell us anything about pilots' life at Qatari. So what's the new piece of information?
That Doha is a piece of sh!t is nothing new, anyone knows that - Anybody who does not, didn't bother to inform himself. Anybody who heard, but doesn't want to believe it, won't be convinced by yet another post.
So either way, those people who still move to Doha deserve just what they get.
However, as a pilot, you do have your layovers abroad, and I guess the salary is alright - at least better than in many other countries.
I am lucky enough to have a much better job. But if I were to stand with my back against the wall, then it would just be a matter of time until I'd probably be desperate enough to sign anything.
Labourer, pilot, businessman or manager - in the end, we're all just mercenaries.
