Travel to Amman

Dear Ex Terminator,

Four separate Prestige Jet threads have been consolidated by PPRuNe staff in choronological order, so there is discontinuity in the thread prior to this point. In answer to your question in Post #309 of this thread, from 22:19, five postings above this one, the stated flight took place during the first half of 2010; the problem about Amman has come about recently due to the lawsuit placed by Sheikh Khalid Al Enazi against Prestige Jet and Faris Deeb, CEO. The lawsuit was described in detail by Kangaroo Flyer in Post #257, page 13 of this thread, 26th May:

"The major accuser of Deeb misconduct is the $5 million lawsuit placed against Prestige Jet and Faris Deeb personally by Sheikh Khalid Al Enazi, a Saudi national living in Jordan. Sheikh Khalid is a former Prestige Jet Rental customer who alleges in his lawsuit that the deposit was given to Mr. Deeb in respect of the purchase of Legacy EC-KFQ at a price of $25 million (that right there was a rip-off, as it was worth $17 million at the time) to Sheikh Khalid.

Problem was, Prestige Jet had no right to sell the aircraft - it was owned by General Electric Capital Corporation and Prestige Jet was not even the lessee. Thus, the lawsuit alleges that Faris attempted to perpetrate a triple fraud and, in the process, walked away with $5 million of Sheikh Khalid's money, which, per the contract signed by both, required the deposit to be returned if the sale were not completed in 20 days.

The above is going on right now in the courts of Jordan.

So it is not our Yank colleagues making the serious allegations, Faris - or doing the stealing."
