This is the result of a Stall, and he will have known that he is in a Stall. Now you may argue that the alert (only an alert) has dissuaded him from continuing the recovery. Given the sparse frame work of such an argument, I will say that to be 'dissuaded from continued recovery' in the midst of physical cues that affirm it, defames our PF further.
