You will find training mainly focussed on windshear recovery, CFIT recovery and even stall recovery which calls for minimum loss of altitude in the sim nowadays. Their lack of experience or lack of presence of mind when faced with the confusing situation somehow regressed them to the reactions when faced with windshear as per their sim training year after year.
