The Sand Pit

Saint Jack

St Jack, looks like we must know each other.

I do like the sand pit. I first got there at age 20. Mind you Asia is OK too.

My work here is good, but the trip home is 30 hours along with hanging round airports. It’s on SQ so they do feed me meals and lemonade. I think it wise to always have at least one other job available and it’s easier to get a job when you have a job. Job security and aviation should not be muttered in the same breath.

I do get peeved off with tax, my tax is 60% of what Gulf pay in salary. I do not like paying tax when I get nothing back for it.

I really fancy working on something bigger than 212’s. 139 would be of great interest. S92 and Puma and such. Helicopters that have had a bit of thought put into their design.

It may be argued the 139 has faults, but it won’t always be that way.

I am planning to work a few more years yet, as long as the Zimmer frame will get me round the helicopter, I’ll be alright.
