Airbus context, I clearly remembering watching test/development aircraft MSN2 fly directly into an intense squall line shortly after take off and receive 5 visible strikes before it was enveloped in the cloud....... 43°39'1.63"N 1°20'6.37"E....
which I guess was the point!
