im almost getting bored supporting Bournemouth any longer. If the airport continue to be run by idiots.
i read in a government prospectus on airports for the Olympics (BOH is in 4th place in terms of government recommendation for access/availability) that the airport can handle aircraft 'up to 757,767'. '747's can be handled but up to the individual airline to calculate performance'
no mention in the technical section about CATIII runway capability or the fact that there are now other aircraft types than the 757/767 that can obviously be handled.
its like the airport is stuck in a time warp. The management team are still selling it like they are in the 1980's/90's! Probably when some of the management team were starting their graduate jobs there. So many mistakes in the airport time-table too - 1 for example, it shows Paphos ending 30th april for example, yet it doesnt it runs the whole summer.
PS: even airplane spotters can do a better job identifying which airlines should be operating from BOH and we all predicted what would happen to the airside retail once passenger numbers started dropping. No surprise smith's is closed. The airport spend 45m on terminal then dont wanna support the airport retail outlets so they are left to close on unsociable hours.
