Just to clarify, FRaud ,as you refer to them, do not do P2F (yet
), they do SSTR, following which , if you meet the standard (and only if) you will be employed as a contractor.
Not saying it is the "ideal" scenario, but you do not (yet, I say again) pay for (or have deducted any contribution for) line flying.
