Lady friend had a flight booked with Tiger on Mothers Day Melbourne to Mackay. Flight cancelled, and because she had to travel that day (with 6 month infant) had to cough $726 for a flight with another carrier. Now Tiger are reluctant and stonewalling on a refund.
What are a consumers rights in this situation?
None of the "You get what you pay for" please. She and her family have learnt the hard way and Tiger have lost any potential for business from a much travelling extended family. The only reason she opted for Tiger in the first place was because it was a direct flight, what with a babe in tow.
